ProLift Garage Doors seeks Installation and/or Repair Technicians to perform installations and service for the West Michigan area. If you have prior experience or are looking to expand your career as a Garage Door Installer or Repair technician and are seeking a part-time/full-time, 1099 position, please apply.

As a garage door Installer or Technician, you will travel in a company service truck or your own to the customer’s home to install doors and diagnose their garage door issues. Build and present quotes to repair or replace the door, and either repair the door during that visit or return later to complete.

Annual compensation potential $40-70k, with top technicians earning much more

Responsibilities

Develop customer relationships.
Repair and install various garage doors and openers, residential and/or light commercial.
Install or repair various types of garage doors, openers, and associated components.
Assist in training new technicians or installers as needed—team player.
Responsible for the safe driving of company vehicles and communicating service needs.
Knowledge and skills in using various hand and power tools

Requirements

Ability to follow directions per company standards
Prefer previous experience installing/serving garage doors, or similar
Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills
Ability to operate a variety of computer programs for scheduling and managing the daily route
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
Team player; strong collaboration skills
Must be a self-starter and self-managed
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record

Experience:

Sales, customer-focused
Garage Door Installation/Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
