OVERVIEW:
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! We are looking for a garage door repair and installation expert for a new company location in West Des Moines, IA. We are willing to provide technical product training for all qualified applicants. We are looking for a driven, experienced, and career-minded individual looking to take charge of their success. As a garage door lead technician, you will travel in a company truck to a customer’s homes or business to diagnose their garage door issues. You will build and present quotes to repair and/or replace the doors and complete the repairs during that visit or return at a later scheduled date. Technicians must be able to manage their time and workflow efficiently. They will also be responsible for their truck and inventory. Annual salary potential of $50-70k with our top technicians earning much more.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Garage Door Installation/Repair Experience is a MUST (2+ years)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate clearly (spoken & written)
- Comfortable with face-to-face customer interaction
- Sales & customer service acumen
- Great listening skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and think independently
- Clean, organized and methodical work ethic
- Ability to work independently without oversight
- Ability to work outside in all weather and climb ladders
- Ability to read and understand directions and instructions
- Strong understanding of basic computer technology
- Complete jobs on time with outstanding craftsmanship
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install and/or repair garage doors, openers and associated components
- Assist in the training of new technicians and installers as needed
- Responsible for the safe driving of company vehicles
- Responsible in maintaining a safe work site, equipment, and truck
- Assists with customer service issues
- Review work orders for accuracy and completeness before departing the job site
- Comfortable with networking and talking with new and potential customers
- Work on-call for emergency situations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
OTHER:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule
- Positive attitude with the ability to overcome challenges
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
